Title: Solutions Architect
Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ or Alpharetta, GA
Duration: 6+ months
We are looking for solution architects with payments/cards/banking experience with expertise in designing and developing transactional systems with stringent performance (latency, availability and resiliency) requirements. The individual should be comfortable with AWS cloud offerings, event driven architecture and domain driven design.

- Client is a large payments company with a history of acquisitions, is heavily focused on tech modernization to streamline operations and stay competitive.
- Their architecture has evolved over time, creating numerous complex integrations to keep things functioning, resulting in high-cost changes
- Modern companies like Stripe have more advanced capabilities and are digitally native, resulting in lower costs to build, extend, sign up new customers, and develop new features
Specific skills
- Deep hands-on experience in developing high performant, mission critical transactional systems
- Expertise across wide variety of technologies spanning cloud (AWS, Azure), streaming (Kafka), databases (Snowflake), and application types
- Ability to design system with stringent NFR requirements availability, latency, resiliency
- Understanding of payments landscape especially merchant acquiring
- Consulting skills and experience to drive a collaborative process to develop high quality solution design outputs
