A top real estate investment and management firm is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to oversee the maintenance and operations of three premier office buildings in Middletown, RI. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in keeping facilities operating safely, efficiently, and at a first-class standard.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day building operations—including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems—ensuring all equipment and systems perform at their best while delivering exceptional service to tenants.
What you’ll do:
- Operate, maintain, and repair building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly
- Respond to tenant service requests with professionalism and efficiency
- Oversee and coordinate vendor work to ensure quality and compliance
- Monitor and help manage building performance and energy usage
Who we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in building maintenance (commercial preferred)
- Trade school certification or license in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical strongly preferred
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
