Job Description Renegade Materials is seeking a chemist or chemical engineer with a strong background in resin production. The engineer will have technical oversight of Renegade's resin production processes. This position will be located onsite at our Miamisburg Ohio facility.
Responsibilities - Resin manufacturing process technical expert
- Lead continuous improvement & Lean Manufacturing programs to review standard work prior to & following resin production
- Configure resin products (bill of materials, operation steps) in the Epicor ERP system
- Statistical analysis of product test results and measurement systems
- Plan capital expenditures for resin production equipment
- Approving analytical testing of raw material and finished resin (DSC, RDA, HPLC, FTIR, DMA, TMA)
- Design quality assurance test methods for raw materials and finished resin
- Directs a third party to generate/maintain resin SDS
- Contract & specification reviews for resin products
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant science or engineering technical field
- Understanding of chemical kinetics & organic chemistry
- Relevant work experience in chemical processing industry
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and common thermosetting resin test standards
- Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with TA Instruments, Epicor ERP, and Minitab is desired
- Familiarity with OSHA chemical hazards & toxicity, Hazmat transport, and EPA compliance preferred
- Written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly & concisely
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks in parallel
- Ability to recognize high-leverage opportunities & advance projects with little direction
- Legally Authorized to work in the United States
