Class 8 Truck Technician – Class A
We are seeking a skilled Class A Heavy-Duty Truck Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have advanced mechanical expertise and proven experience servicing Class 8 trucks in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Position Details :
- Pay: 20−25 per hour (commensurate with experience)
- Exempt Status: Nonexempt
- Reports To: Manager of Shop Operations
Key Qualifications :
- Class A-level mechanical proficiency with hands-on Class 8 truck experience
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards
- Team-oriented with clear communication skills
Key Responsibilities :
As a Class A Technician, you will perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Class 8 trucks, including but not limited to:
Engine Systems :
- Head gasket replacement
- Complete engine overhauls
- Diagnosis and repair of aftertreatment systems
Transmission Systems :
- Addressing fluid leaks and gear slippage
- Full transmission rebuilds
Brake Systems :
- Inspection, replacement, and repair of brake pads, rotors, and hydraulic components
- Suspension & Steering:
- Repair/replacement of springs, shocks, and steering components
Electrical Systems :
- Troubleshooting wiring, sensors, and electronic control units (ECUs)
Body & Frame :
- Removal of damaged body parts
- Frame/chassis alignment
- Replacement part installation
