Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assign and coordinate shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
- Plan and optimize delivery routes for efficiency.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates and address concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activity and shipping documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve transportation-related challenges.
- Provide customer support by confirming shipment details and addressing inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
- 2 years of experience in FTL, dispatch, logistics, or transportation coordination.
- Familiarity with trucking operations and dispatch software.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
Hours & Benefits:
- M - F 5:00am-2:00pm
- Additional on-call 1/night a week plus 1 weekend every 5th week
