Export Control Specialist (Americas)
Location: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) – Akron, OH area
We’re seeking an experienced Export Control Specialist to serve as the primary compliance interface for our Americas region. In this hybrid role, you'll support both regional teams and the central Export Control function, ensuring alignment with global trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the regional liaison for export control and sanctions compliance
- Support Export Control Coordinators with inquiries and compliance tasks
- Stay current on global trade regulations and share guidance
- Screen business partners for compliance with international sanctions
- Assist with classification of products, technologies, and equipment
- Advise project teams on compliance risks related to embargoed regions or sensitive entities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Trade Compliance, Economics, Law, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in trade compliance or export control
- Strong knowledge of international trade laws and sanctions
- Experience in global business environments
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
