Furniture Repair Tech
Job Description
Repair, touch up, and rebuild furniture products, case goods, upholstery, bedding, items delivered via delivery providers and customer pick-ups. Repair furniture merchandise to a sellable condition. Commitment to Boscovs safety practices, promote awareness and maintaining a neat and safe work area. Exceptional attention to detail. Inspect and assemble furniture and beds. Demonstrate high urgency to ensure properly prepared product. Stand for prolonged periods. Mechanically inclined to make mechanical and structural repairs. Work independently and with a team. Additional functions that may be assigned at managers discretion.
Job Responsibilities
+ Assemble, repair furniture using hand tools and power tools
+ Repair/ paint dents, scratches in metal or wood
+ Clean, repair, replace drawers, locks, catches, and slides
+ Replace damaged vinyl or fabric upholstery
Job Requirements
+ Ability to work with hand tools.
+ Lift, lower, push, pull all sizes of furniture up to, and in excess of 75lbs.
+ Able to work with Microsoft Excel and Word
+ Furniture repair experience
+ Work independently
+ Analytical skills
+ Standing for most of shift
