About the Role
We’re hiring a Head Chef for an independent restaurant in Helena, Montana. This is a great fit for someone with a passion for food, leadership experience in professional kitchens, and a desire to bring fresh energy to a well-loved, community-focused restaurant.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all kitchen operations, from menu development to execution
- Create seasonal, locally sourced dishes that reflect regional American bistro cuisine
- Inspire and manage a skilled back-of-house team through training, scheduling and mentorship
- Oversee food costing, portioning, inventory and supplier relationships
- Ensure consistent food quality and maintain a clean, organized and efficient kitchen
What We’re Looking For
- At least 5 years of professional kitchen experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Experience with farm-to-table, fine dining, or regional American cuisine
- Strong culinary skills, with a focus on scratch cooking and creative, seasonal menu development
- Proven ability to manage inventory, food costs and kitchen systems
- Comfort using kitchen software for ordering, planning and inventory
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
