Pride Health is hiring an Imaging Specialist *CT/X-RAY to support our client’s medical facility in Nantucket, MA . This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Imaging Specialist to join our Radiology team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including Computed Tomography (CT) and X-Ray. The Imaging Specialist will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
CT Scanning: Operate CT scanners to obtain cross-sectional images of the body. Position patients, adjust scanners, and ensure images are clear and accurate for diagnostic purposes.
X-Ray Imaging: Perform routine and specialized X-ray procedures. Position patients appropriately, adjust equipment settings, and ensure high-quality radiographic images.
Patient Care: Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain the process, and ensure patient comfort and safety. Provide appropriate shielding to minimize radiation exposure.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain imaging equipment, performing routine checks and calibrations. Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions as needed.
Image Quality: Evaluate images for technical quality and make adjustments as necessary. Ensure all images meet the required standards for diagnostic purposes.
Documentation: Accurately document imaging procedures, patient information, and any relevant observations. Ensure proper handling and storage of imaging data.
Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely delivery of imaging results.
Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, infection control practices, and regulatory standards related to radiation and imaging procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology, Medical Imaging, or a related field.
Licensure/Certification: Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent. Certification in CT (ARRT-CT) preferred.
Experience: Proven experience as an Imaging Specialist with a focus on CT and X-Ray procedures. Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in operating CT and X-Ray imaging equipment.
Strong knowledge of radiation safety and infection control procedures.
Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements: Ability to work various shifts and on-call hours as needed.

Shifts: 40 hours per week Days/Night Shift (flexible)
Weekly Gross Range: $3000 to $3600
