Import/Export Specialist – Chicago, IL
We are looking for an Import/Export Specialist with expertise in air or ocean freight to join our growing team in Chicago . This role will focus on account management , overseeing international shipments and ensuring seamless logistics operations for key clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage import/export processes for assigned accounts, ensuring timely and efficient shipment handling.
- Serve as the account manager , acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
- Handle shipment documentation, customs clearance, and issue resolution.
- Monitor shipments from origin to destination, keeping clients informed of status updates.
- Identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Experience in import/export logistics , specializing in either air or ocean freight .
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, documentation, and international trade compliance .
- Prior experience in account management , handling customer relationships and logistics solutions.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
