IT Project Manager

Local to Atlanta area

Our industry leading client in the Atlanta area is looking for a dynamic Project Manager with a robust background in both traditional waterfall and agile project management. In this role you will be responsible for leading end- to- end management of Software Development and Coud infrastructure projects within a waterfall environment, ensuring strict adherence to project timelines, budgets, and scope.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Duration: 6+- month contract with extensions and full-time conversion

Location: Sandy Springs, GA, Responsible for working onsite 2-3 days a week

Rate: $65-$70 hourly W2

Responsibilities:

• Experience overseeing and managing project deliverables within a waterfall environment, ensuring timelines, budgets and scope are met
• Strong experience leading and supporting teams through the transition from waterfall to Agile practices, serving as a change agent
• Ability to ensure transparent and timely communication regarding project progress, risks and challenges
• Experience developing and maintaining detailed project plans, including scheduling resource allocation and risk assessment
• Identifying, analyzing and proposing improvements to existing processes to align with Agile best practices
• Strong experience facilitating resolution of conflicts or obstacles that could impede the projects transition to Agile

Experience Requirements:

• Proficient in Project Management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders
• Strong leadership, presentation and organizational skills
• PMP Certification

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
