Position Overview
The Project Manager (RPA/AI) is responsible for managing the Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning portfolio. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams— Clinical, Discovery, Finance, TechOps , and Development —to identify automation opportunities, gather requirements, and implement RPA bots and AI/ML solutions. This position plays a key role in executing and governing the company’s automation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end RPA and AI/ML implementation projects , including planning, design, development, and support.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, onshore/offshore consultants , and vendors to develop solutions.
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand needs and gather automation requirements.
- Evaluate existing processes and recommend RPA or AI/ML-driven enhancements.
- Drive solution design , development, and change management activities.
- Oversee a team of developers, business analysts, and support staff , ensuring productivity and professional growth.
- Contribute to strategic and budget planning for digital initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with CSV (Computer System Validation) , GCP , and other regulatory frameworks.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and promote a high-performance culture.
Other Responsibilities
- Recommend and implement policies and standards for digital solutions.
- Align with enterprise strategy for RPA and AI/ML.
- Maintain strong communication with both internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration , or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience , preferably in the pharmaceutical industry .
- Experience working in clinical development environments is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in project management and automation delivery .
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with RPA tools such as UiPath , Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.
- Knowledge of AI/ML technologies , including exposure to generative AI , Microsoft Copilot Studio , and OpenAI .
- Strong understanding of CSV , GCP , and validation requirements.
Communication & Analytical Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
