Job Description

The New York State Court of Appeals is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodial Worker to join our facilities team. This position is assigned to custodial and janitorial tasks at the historic Court of Appeals Hall and Centennial Hall. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for staff, judges, and visitors.

Shift Information:

This is a night shift position, scheduled Monday through Friday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM .

Key Responsibilities

• Performing routine cleaning and housekeeping duties in courtrooms, Judges’ chambers, hallways, and other courthouse areas
• Conducting light maintenance tasks as needed
• Moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as directed
• Removing waste and recyclables from designated areas
• Assisting with special cleaning projects or event setup when required

Qualifications: One year of experience as a Senior Custodial Aide; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Base Salary: $43,669
