The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Lab Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Millsboro, DE. Details for the position are as follows:
**LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY**
Shift Details:
**100% ONSITE: 4/10 Shift**
- SHIFT: 4 days a week – 10 hours per day (work days between Monday and Friday)
- Must have flexibility with schedule – could change or rotate depending on business needs
- INTERVIEW: Must have flexibility to interview between the hours of 1pm-5pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays (with notice)
Job Description:
Overview:
- A Laboratory Technician is responsible for critical laboratory procedures and duties in the production of veterinary products.
- Technicians may work with a variety of technical equipment while completing cell culture processes throughout the manufacturing cycle.
- At all times technicians must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety and company policies, perform duties assigned by department supervision.
Some of the duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Perform procedures including aseptic work, media preparation, antigen inoculation and harvest, tissue culture preparation and harvest, filling vaccines, etc.
- Maintain accurate and reliable record keeping including charts, log books, and all pertinent documentation
- Communicate any unusual and/or non-routine occurrences when performing tasks
- Cleaning work areas, prepare, clean and sterilize glassware and equipment for use
- Equipment setup and operation
PLEASE NOTE:
- Embryonic eggs are utilized for virus propagation
- Hazardous materials: Isopropal Alcohol, Hydrogen peroxide, Phenolic Disinfectants, Oxidizers
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or AS/BS degree
- **Open to recent graduates with AS or BS degrees **
- Manufacturing/GMP OR lab experience (academic or industry)
- As much as possible: GMP | laboratory | cell culture | aseptic technique | SAP | LIMS | Logbooks
Compensation: Up to $22.33 per hour
