We are seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to assist our Billing Manager with collections, appeals, and billing reviews. What You Will Be Doing
The Billing Specialist duties include assisting the Billing Manager with activities pertaining to legal billing, receivables management, and collections.
- Pre-Bill reviews: Before sending bills to clients, invoices are examined to make sure all entries adhere to their particular guidelines.
- Collections: evaluation and following up.
- Appeals - evaluate reductions requested by clients and decide whether reduction is appropriate or appeal the reduction as needed.
- Additional projects and responsibilities as allocated by the billing manager or firm management.
What You Need for this Position
- 2 years of e-billing experience
- 2 years of Legal Billing experience
- 1 year experience with Accounts Receivable (preferred)
- Prior experience with e-billing websites (e.g. Bottomline, TyMetrix 360, Quovant, Advocator, Counselink, Serengeti, Legal Bill Review, Collaborati)
