Job Description

Crossroads Professional Counseling provides Christian counseling to Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to promote positive and transformative care that is part of holistic health and wellbeing. We make every effort to keep our environment welcoming, supportive, and energizing, and our clients consistently remark on how well we have done so.

You’ll be joining a close knit, friendly team of professionals that deeply care about clients and their health. You get to do the one thing you became a counselor for: seeing your clients and making a difference in their lives.

This includes:

  • Freedom over your niche and the populations you want to work with
  • Setting your own hours
  • More creativity
  • Building a private practice

We provide everything necessary for you to focus on your passion as a counselor and be successful. This includes:

  • Furnished office with internet, waiting area, and conference room for groups.
  • Front desk reception including assistance with scheduling and payments.
  • Marketing
  • Obtaining some clients, however, you are also expected to find referral sources.
  • Weekly coaching to help you grow your private practice.

We are seeking a compassionate and talented Provisional or Licensed Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker to join our team. (If provisional, the candidate will be responsible for obtaining his/her own clinical supervision required for licensure.)

The ideal candidate for this position has had experience or interest in working with a variety of couples, individuals, children and families across different ages and backgrounds, however, working with adolescents and kids is a plus. A successful candidate will be flexible and collaborative with the team, and is enthusiastic about successfully building and maintaining a caseload.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling and other services to individuals, couples, and families.
  • Provide group therapy to individuals, couples, and families if desired.
  • Work with people of all ages and from different cultural backgrounds.
  • Use critical thinking skills when assessing client needs.
  • Develop community resources for clients as needed.
