Job Description
Marine Engineer job for Canadian Shipping company based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia. 2nd Engineer must work with the captain and crew to prioritize the safe operation and delivery of good to different ports globally.
Candidate tickets must be recognized by Transport Canada and must have no less than four years at sea.
1) Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all ship board equipment.
2) Carry out regular equipment checks and repairs in the engine room and different with hydraulic systems.
3) Direct the team in the engine room.
4) Communicate with superiors and ship managers.
Can test or transfer competencies to Transport Canada certifications.
Marine Emergency Duties Required. English language skills required.
