We are seeking a Medical Technologist (Allied) for a travel/contract position in NY. Accepting both local and traveler candidates.
Location: Watertown, NY 13601
Pay Rate: $56/hr
Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40
Shift: 8hr Eve
"Your pay is based on whether you are in a local or travel position. A travel position is defined as residing more than 60 miles from the facility."
Description / Comment :
- Travel experience required (2+ contracts)
- NYS license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology.
- Progressive laboratory experience in a hospital setting with 1-2 years’ experience as a Medical Technologist.
- ASCP or NCA registered medical technologist or equivalent
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests on blood, tissue, and other body fluids, including chemical, hematological, microbiological, and immunological tests.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring all devices are properly calibrated and functioning.
- Analyze test results and provide accurate and timely data to healthcare providers for patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Conduct routine quality control and proficiency testing to maintain high standards of lab results.
