Gateway Rehab Centers has a wonderful opportunity for a Corrections Monitor located in Braddock, PA. As a Monitor, you will provide custody and control functions for patients enrolled at the center.
Responsibilities: - Monitors patient movement into and out of the facility.
- Maintains daily logs.
- Maintains knowledge of all facility rules, regulations, and policies.
- Conducts intakes and participates in the orientation of new patients.
- Conducts patient drug screening.
- Makes telephone contact with employers to verify patient movement.
- Makes telephone contact with families/friends of patients granted furloughs.
- Conducts random room searches.
- Transports patients as needed.
- Dispenses authorized prescription medications to patients.
Required Knowledge and Skills: - Strong communication and organization skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
Additional Requirements - Pass PA Criminal Background Check
- Obtain Child Abuse and FBI Clearances
- Pass Drug
- TB Test
- Valid driver's license with a favorable driving record
- Obtain CPR certification
Work Conditions - Corrections facility environment
- Various shifts
- Required to remain awake and alert while on duty.
