Our client, a private equity firm based in New York, NY, is seeking a Senior Credit Operations Associate to join their growing private credit team. This person will be working closely with deal teams, finance, treasury, and legal departments to ensure smooth loan closings and related operations. Key responsibilities include managing private credit transactions, coordinating deal closings, and overseeing the initial funding process. Candidates must have strong experience in loan operations, specifically around the “closing” process, and the ability to work across multiple teams to ensure seamless transactions and funding.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing private credit transactions, including preparing loans, capital calls, deal draws, loan operations, and settlements.
- Coordinating deal closings and renewals by obtaining necessary approvals from stakeholders such as transaction managers, internal credit, KYC, legal, and operations teams.
- Reviewing and analyzing legal documents, including Note Purchase Agreements (NPA), Credit Agreements, Liquidity Asset Purchase Agreements (LAPA), loan applications, credit applications, and fee letters.
- Overseeing the initial funding process and coordinating Delayed Draw Term Loan (DDTL) draws, ensuring that borrowing notices are issued promptly for timely funding.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in loan operations at a competing asset manager or bank
- Expertise in loan “closing” process
- Exposure to Asset Based Securities (ABS) or any other private cred
