Job Description
Overview
Our client, a fast-growing innovator in quantum computing hardware, is seeking a Sales Engineer to support its North American expansion. Specializing in advanced instrumentation for quantum research, the company delivers critical tools that enable scientists to control and measure quantum systems at the cutting edge of physics.
As part of their U.S. launch, you'll join a small, agile team based in Boston, where you'll work directly with research labs and technical teams across academia, government, and industry. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-impact company early in its U.S. journey and help shape the future of quantum technologies on the continent.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a technical advisor to researchers and engineers working on quantum systems, with a focus on experimental setups and system integration.
- Build strong relationships with new and existing customers, serving as their main point of contact for technical solutions.
- Represent the company at scientific conferences, technical workshops, and industry events.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth product delivery, installation, and onboarding.
- Contribute to the creation of customer-facing technical content, including documentation, videos, and outreach material.
- Collaborate with R&D to provide user feedback and suggest improvements to products and interfaces.
- Drive day-to-day commercial operations and coordinate sales activities with stakeholders.
- Maintain and update customer engagement data and project timelines.
What We’re Looking For
- A Master’s degree (or higher) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience working with experimental quantum systems or advanced instrumentation (e.g., RF, cryogenics, microwave electronics).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive, self-driven mindset and willingness to travel (domestically and internationally) for customer engagement and events.
- Comfort working across disciplines—from engineering to sales to marketing.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing or commercial technical role is a plus but not required.
