We’re seeking passionate SHSAT tutors proficient in both the math and verbal sections of the exam! Sessions will be in person in Manhattan or Brooklyn with some online opportunities.

Pay rate is $75-$100 per hour.

We offer bonuses based on student performance.

We're looking for someone who loves to teach and learn and is constantly improving their craft.

To help students reach their goals, tutors are expected to submit brief but meaningful lesson plans and to track student progress.

Looking for someone with an encouraging demeanor who builds relationships with students while maintaining structure and discipline.

Job Requirements:

• Prior SHSAT tutoring experience, both math and verbal
• Please ONLY apply if you have prior experience teaching the SHSAT exam
• Teaching degree preferred
• Live in NYC
• Punctual and dependable

Responsibilities:

• Know the test and familiarize yourself with materials if needed
• Prepare basic lesson before each session
• Assess student needs and adjust plans as needed to build students' skills
• Maintain discipline and keep students on track
• Assign meaningful homework each week
• Keep accurate records of student progress
• communicate with parents or guardians as needed
