Qualifications
Class A CDL / Ability to drive a manual a plus
Must have Hazmat and tanker Endorsement
Ability to drive a manual a plus
Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
2 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
Must be able to read and speak English
Load and unload truck either individually or with assistance of dockworkers
Drive tractor-trailer in all weather conditions
Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight
Securing of freight may be required through strapping or other methods
Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy
Comply with all Federal requirements regarding the transportation of Hazardous Materials
Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations
Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
Other duties as assigned daily
The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
Unloading of cargo maybe required , use liftgate , pallet jack
