Turnaround Planner – Scheduler (Primavera P6)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Turnaround Planner – Scheduler to support the planning and execution of turnaround (TAR) projects at our Billings, MT refinery . In this role, you’ll use Oracle Primavera P6 to build and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and on time.
This is a critical position within the TAR team, working cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, operations, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed turnaround schedules using Primavera P6 .
- Coordinate with internal teams and contractors to collect scope, resource needs, and timelines.
- Perform critical path analysis, identify risks, and create mitigation strategies.
- Monitor progress and update schedules throughout all turnaround phases.
- Support daily schedule reviews and ensure timely reporting to stakeholders.
- Integrate contractor schedules and resolve schedule conflicts or constraints.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of turnaround or project scheduling experience in a refinery or industrial setting .
- Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 is required .
- Strong knowledge of work breakdown structures (WBS), CPM, and scheduling best practices.
- Familiarity with field execution, maintenance workflows, and project coordination.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical drawings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP, Maximo, or other CMMS platforms.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
Additional Information:
- Must be available for extended hours, including weekends, during execution phases.
- Field presence required during turnaround execution.
